Diving
is an exhilarating, pleasurable and highly rewarding
activity which can only be enjoyed safely if you are
trained to the appropriate level.
The first level of certification is called the Academic
and pool training. Then the four ocean dives to become
an Open Water Diver', The most commonly asked question
we are asked is what is the difference between the
agencies? The truthful answer is really nothing.
Anyone
who tells you that only one is excepted worldwide is a
person you should be grabbing your wallet and running
away from.
They all teach exactly the same water skills. The true difference
is the
individual instructor's integrity, that will make or
brake the course. Scuba diving is not for the faint
hearted. It is a performance based sport, not time
based, performance based. You are required to swim 200
yards, and tread water for 10 mins before going to the
ocean four open water dives. Only medical contradictions
that will preclude you from this sport, and being out of
shape', You need to have us email you a medical form to
check to make sure you can participate, if you mark yes,
you will need a physician to fill out a physicians
release form that is ok for you to dive before ever
entering our pool
The second part is the Open Water Diver which includes 4
dives in open water. You can take your Open Water
Referral certificate abroad on a vacation as long as you
complete your open water dives within 12 months.
