 Scuba Tip

How can I ensure I’m getting air that will not contaminate my scuba system?

Professional dive facilities work hard to give their customers the best training, equipment, and air fills, many dive facilities have voluntarily adopted the gas standards for testing. Others meet gas standards that almost mirror but fall a little short, and some just compress air for your tank. The only way to know the quality of air you are getting is to ask.

ASK? Do you use an outside laboratory for the test? YES! How often do you test it? Every 3 months! Can I see the results? YES! Any dive facility that takes air quality seriously will be happy not only to give you the report but take you on a tour of their air manufacturing process. This is a good indication that you are getting a quality air fill.
